The Simplest way to relax in Adversities

Many times we are faced with certain adversities in life, that it becomes difficult to feel hopeful and positive about any aspect at all. You might feel stuck, irritated and impatient about things not working out in your favour. Most of the times when I am faced with such critical situations, I tend to panic and even face difficulties in breathing normally. Can you see the adverse impact of stress here, as what it can do? It can screw up even a normal and natural process like breathing!
When we are in stress, our breaths become shallow and that impacts our blood pressure and other body parts too, as they get less than normal oxygen supply.

It is really important to focus on your breathing, because from my experience, I have seen that my breathing pattern actually is an indicator of my state of mind. When I am happy and relaxed, I take normal paced deep breaths, when I am tense, my breathing becomes shallow and fast, when I feel exhilarated about the speed in activities like running, dancing etc., my breathing become short, fast and deep.

It actually took me a moment to realize that, if outside world can affect my feelings and in turn my breathing pattern, can't it work the other way round? Like if stress can make my breathing shallow, can't I alter my breathing to change the state of my mind to the calm and relaxed one! And once my mind is relaxed and in control, I can always take the most rational and positive action to alter the state of my being.

All in all, breathing is the most natural and impulsive action of our being. It also has very deep and emphatic role in creating our lives. So, it doesn't matter what situation you are faced with, you can always control your breaths, focus on them, make them deep, relax your mind and follow the course of actio your relax mind tells you.

Life has always been quite simple; it is us who complicate it often.
